Michelle’s Perfectly Boiled Quail Eggs

How to perfectly boil quail eggs. They're the perfect car or bento box lunch snack!

  • 1 2.5 quart or larger stock pot with lid
  • 1 colander


  • 24 each quail eggs
  • 6 cups water


  • Fill stock pot with 6 cups (or more) of water.
  • Place on highest burner setting until water comes to a rolling boil.
  • Place eggs into colander and drop into the pot.
  • Boil for 5 minutes.
  • Pour the eggs and water back into the colander.
  • Rinse with cold water.
  • Peel and enjoy! Eat them plain with salt and pepper or make them into deviled eggs!
